The Magnetic Tuning Package is a technical advancement of the globally recognized Bidrop arrow rest.
The BiDrop moves downward due to vertical loading. The support wire that holds the arrow is kept in position by magnetic force. The force acting on the rest is determined by the total arrow weight, FOC/tip weight, limb synchronization, limb performance, nocking point height, and the pressure point.
The resulting vertical recoil or “bouncing” at the moment of release is absorbed by the downward movement of the support wire. This wire always returns to its original position.
These forces vary, as different physical factors interact in different setups. Therefore, the holding force cannot be universally fixed.
To allow optimal adjustment of the support wire’s release moment, the magnetic force is now adjustable using four interchangeable magnets. The pre-installed magnet strength corresponds to the one used by Gerhard Gabriel. Additionally, the Magnetic Tuning Package includes one weaker and two stronger magnets.
Which magnetic strength works best for a given setup must be determined individually.
All magnets are color-coded, as shown in the instruction leaflet. The marking is located on the north side of the magnet and is not visible when installed. The visible side is the unmarked south pole, which attracts the eccentric.
Montage Magnetic Tuning Package
Loosen the M3 screw that holds the wire and pull it downwards out. Then remove the eccentric. Loosen the M3 screw that holds the magnet. Place the Allen key on the magnet and lift it out. Replace it with the stronger one. The color code is on the inside. Tighten the retaining screw. Make sure the magnet is flush with the carrier. Insert the eccentric and align it so that the holes are aligned. Reinsert the wire.
